Growing Young Vocations Day is a diocesan event for young people aged 14 to 25 to explore calling and vocation in various forms of leadership within the church, both lay and ordained.
Our next Growing Young Vocations Day will be 27 February 2027.
Growing Young Leaders is a course for 14-18 year olds who wish to learn more about themselves, develop as a leader and explore what this may look like for them in their church. The course costs £60 (£30 from the participant and £30 from their nominating church), which covers resources, refreshments and lunch. The next course dates are:

16 January 2027 9:30-1:30
27 February 2027 9:30-4:30 (This session is longer as it includes attending Growing Young Vocations Day)

23 April 2027 9:30-4:30 (This session is longer as it includes the Celebration Service)

Youth Council is made up of young people within our diocese aged 11-18 who work together with the Children and Young People's team to ensure young voices are amplified into spaces of decision. We are currently revamping our Youth Council, so if you are aged 11-18 and have any thoughts about what you would like our Youth Council to look like, and if you would be interested in joining, please email our Lead Officer for Children and Youth Ministry.
Diocesan Children and Youth Internship Year is a discernment and development year for anyone who wishes to explore Children and Youth Ministry. The internship runs from September to August and provides the post holder with experience of working in 2 different churches to gain experience in children and youth ministry as well as different styles of church. The post holder will also gain experience in supporting to plan and run diocesan-wide events and will study alongside Ridley Hall via the course.
